Don’t Go Looking For Knowledge ….
May 14th, 2014 by Azmir Ismail

In then world of Internet Marketing, it is common to go looking for new knowledge or information. Lately, I was thinking why my internet business was going a bit stale. It is definitely not to the lack of knowledge. A look at my hard disk shown me tonnes of IM programs and tools that I have. So, for a few hours I sat in deep thought wondering what is wrong. Then I realized the answer… I was in this situation because of my hunger for knowledge. Yes, my hunger and thirst for knowledge has lead me to not doing well in my internet business.

info overload

Not me 🙂 just a picture showing what I was in …

Yep, my thirst  for knowledge lead me to where I am. Allow me to explain. Simply, I was looking for knowledge and information of internet marketing without actually applying the knowledge/information learnt first. So, I kept jumping from knowledge A to ebook B to seminar C .. and the list goes on and on …. in the end, what do I have? yeah, you guessed it .. INFORMATION OVERLOAD!

So I did a bit of research especially from the IM ‘seniors’ to rectify and avoid this problem in the future. There were two major points outlined

1-Don’t Buy Any IM Related Stuff For The Next Few Months

Don’t buy anything else in the IM arena until you have finished reading AND applying what you have in your hard drive. Basically, begin with what you already have/bought. From what I see, a lot of IM stuff (especially WSOs) are recycled stuff that have been published. Go through what you have first, applied it and see the results. Need further info, uncle Google is around …. 🙂

2- Focus on ONE method/technique Until You Succeed

There are so many methods / technique of IM nowadays. From blogging to FB Ads, there are so many options. Do not follow the current. For example, right now FB Ads is the current ‘in’ thing. Do you need to go and buy the latest FB Ads course, while you have a Google Adwords course that you had purchased that you have not yet finished.

Well, I learnt my lesson and shall be applying these lessons to my online business. I would focus on what I have, apply it first, and then proceed. So far, it is working to a certain extent 🙂 and hopefully for the rest of my IM business life.

happy

Not me but a description of what I felt 🙂
